How it works?
Proof of Stake (PoS) is one of the mechanisms used to verify transactions. Under the PoS system "validators" (agents who runs a node) lock (stake) their crypto assets to get a right to validate a transaction and add a block to the chain. The "power" of the validator depends on the amount of tokens staked.
Unlike the Proof of Work (PoW) networks, which requires enormous energy and processing power, PoS blockchains have greater transcation speed and lower energy consumption.
Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) allows token holders delegate their token to validators in exchange for a reward retaining the initial token ownership rights.
